Swing Street is a dynamite and fun 9-piece swing band based in central North Carolina. Swing Street falls in the categories of Big Band, Swing Band, Jazz Band, Dance Band, and Variety Band. Swing Street does more than just sit and play music — the band strives to create an atmosphere of good times and fun for all.
Yes, we are primarily a swing band/big band, but our goal is to provide many different styles of music so every guest is able to find something to dance to. The Swing Street library encompasses standards from the big band era’s stars (Basie, Ellington, Miller, Dorsey, Herman), classics from the great vocalists (Sinatra, Darrin, Cole), contemporary big band (Rich, Ferguson), and selected examples of pop, rock, and funk (Kool & Gang, Elvis, Seger, Average White Band, etc).
Our travel range includes most of North Carolina, as well as parts of South Carolina and Virginia. Some cities in our range are: Raleigh; Durham; Cary; Chapel Hill; Greensboro; High Point; Winston-Salem; Charlotte; Fayetteville; Rocky Mount; Kinston; Wilmington; Florence; Myrtle Beach; and more.
